Homeopathy

Homeopathy is a long established holistic therapy used widely around the world, it is the process of treating ‘like with like’ and homeopaths have observed that the correct homeopathic remedy supports the body. Homeopathy treats the individual person and their experience of disease. Everybody is different!

“Natural forces within us are the true healers of disease” Hippocrates

How can Homeopathy help me?

People who have consulted with me include…

  • Those who have been told by the doctors that there is nothing they can do for them, yet who are still experiencing symptoms.
  • Those who have been recommended by my previous patients.
  • Those who are experiencing a period of change in their lives either physical e.g. puberty, menopause, pregnancy or Situational e.g. bereavement, divorce, redundancy, marriage, retirement.

What can homeopathy treat?

Quite a lot in fact, as a homeopath treats YOU as a person. Acute conditions like flu, coughs and colds are normally self limiting- if unpleasant….

“Nature will cure a cold in a week; a good physician will cure a cold in 7 days”

Homeopathy supports these natural forces.

The body is programmed to try and heal itself. The correct remedy may support your body in this process. If you think of a child teething, it is a natural process but very painful and most of us would want to give the child something to soothe and help the pain. The correct remedy can provide this support.

Homeopathy is a process of selecting the correct remedy for the symptoms which you are experiencing.

The remedy is like a CD. The CD is just a piece of plastic and will not produce anything until it is inserted into the right machine.

Symptoms are signs and sensations which you do not normally experience. They represent changes and are the body’s warning symptom that something may be wrong. They often present themselves when we are experiencing some element of change in our lives. For example; the greatest period of change we experience in our lifetime is in infancy and childhood. This is also the period when we experience most acute diseases.  Think of the pain experienced by children teething.

Please note: It is important that you remain on any medication which may have been prescribed by a Doctor. Remedies may be taken alongside conventional medication. Homeopathy is not diagnostic and you will be advised to check out your symptoms with your GP if you have not already done so and maintain contact with your Primary Health Care Team.
